Bike Safety Blog Post T4 2018

What are the three things that Constable Ken Taught about where we can ride our bikes? (think - place and time)

1.look over the you right shoulder

2.keep to the path on the right

3.remember to indicate with your hands when you want to turn

Name three important things Constable Ken taught us about how to ride our bikes? (think - eyes and head)

  1. think before you ride on your bike

  1. look to see if there are bikers behind you or in front of you.

  1. turn your head to see if you are holding up traffic or not.

Describe the three bike signals that Constable Ken taught us.

  1. right arm out beside you so if you want to turn right.

  1. left arm out if you want to turn left.

  1. then if you want to stop or something happened then you put your hole hand out for the signal stop.

What did you enjoy the most about your Cycle Safe lesson? Why?the favourite bit about the bike safety that was fun was riding around the path on the back field and riding really fast and then putting are break down some of the people in the class thought it was a race because we all got to do a slow race and if you put your foot on the ground then your out so then i put my foot on the ground and then i was out.

  1. You were able to identify safe places to ride your bike. You have demonstrated you know how to ride safely. The signals you used were appropriate. Keep checking to make sure your helmet is fitted correctly using the three finger rule.
