Goals:
- Know how many tens in a number, e.g. 43 tens in 435.
- Use place value partitioning to subtract 135-75= 135-70= 65-5=60
- Use reversibility to change a problem around, e.g. 403 - ? = 97, 97 + ? = 403
Answer the following questions, SHOW YOUR WORKING!
- How many groups of 10 are in 175?
2. How many groups of 100 are there in 1245?
there are 12 groups of a hundred in 1245 because the first numbers of 1245 is how much hundreds are in the number.
3. How many groups of 15 are in 390?
there are 27 groups of 15 in of 390 because when you count in 15.
4. there were 28 cups that were left on the shelf and they were unbroken what i did to work this out was i put up 65 telly marks and then i took 37 of the board.
